InSinkErator® is the inventor and global market leader of food waste disposers and also a leading manufacturer of steaming hot water taps and combination taps.

Practical and efficient by design, both specialist kitchen taps and food waste disposers from InSinkErator® offer style and functionality for those designing their dream kitchen space. Coupled with the benefits of replacing a food waste bin, kettle or water filter jug, they are a discreet means of creating affordable luxury and saving space in the kitchen.

InSinkErator® offers products that deliver everyday convenience, de-clutter the home and satisfy busy lifestyles.

Specialist kitchen taps

A specialist kitchen tap is an invaluable and convenient addition to the kitchen, making everyday tasks much quicker, eliminating the time and energy lost waiting for the kettle to boil and saving precious worktop space.

As a helpful gadget for the kitchen, a specialist kitchen tap from InSinkErator® can be used for the following:

  • Speed up the cooking process for foods that require boiling water (rice, pasta, vegetables) by having readily available hot water
  • Making tea/coffee
  • Melting chocolate (over a bowl of hot water)
  • Heating knives
  • Peeling fruit (soak in hot water first) - lemons/limes/oranges
  • Loosening lids
  • Heating an ice cream scoop

Replacing the kettle with an instant steaming hot water tap from InSinkErator® will not only save vital worktop space, it can also help reduce water wastage in the home and save on the ever rising cost of utility bills as you only heat the water you use.

InSinkErator® specialist kitchen taps are available as a combined fixture or stand-alone additional tap, in a number of shapes and on-trend metallic finishes including Brushed Gold, Rose Gold and Velvet Black.

Combination taps and steaming hot water taps from InSinkErator® come complete with a compact water tank of only 2.5 litres, the NeoTank. The NeoTank fits neatly under the sink without taking up too much valuable cupboard space and benefits from digital touch-screen control panel allowing the user to set their desired water temperature with ease. The NeoTank can be set to temperatures between 88°C and 99°C.

The latest innovation is the 4N1 Touch tap that offers instant filtered steaming hot water, instant filtered cold water and regular hot and cold water from one combined fixture.

Designed to meet the increased consumption of filtered drinking water, the 4N1 Touch tap provides a stream of filtered cold water for 30 seconds, at the touch of a button. Consumers with a 4N1 Touch can benefit by having instant filtered water readily available in their own home, reducing the need to purchase bottled water; especially when a variety of re-fillable drinking bottles are widely available.

Using a steaming hot water tap or combination tap from InSinkErator® is a safe way to heat hot water for use in the kitchen. It makes the kitchen worry free as it eliminates the kettle and its trailing cord, hot cooking zones or naked flames from a gas hob. The self-closing, easy to grip, hot water handle with push-lever safety locking mechanism ensures the flow of water stops immediately as soon as the lever is released, so it is inherently safe and eliminates the risk of leaving steaming hot water running.

Food waste disposers

Despite our best efforts, a small proportion of food waste is inevitable in the kitchen and many consumers are faced with the difficulty of sustainably disposing items such as vegetable peelings and banana skins. An InSinkErator® food waste disposer is the ideal solution for this growing problem, when home composting is not possible.

An InSinkErator® food waste disposer allows food waste to be dealt with instantly, hygienically and in a sustainable manner, with the further benefits of saving space and improving cleanliness in the kitchen. Food waste is ground into minute sized particles, thanks to the innovative system of stainless steel grinding rings. The food waste is then dispatched and simply rinsed away safely down the drain, through the standard plumbing.

Not only does this offer an alternative to traditional disposal methods, but by reducing food waste to landfill sites, it also helps to reduce greenhouse gases and the household’s carbon footprint. In addition, and where there is an anaerobic digester within the sewerage system, the nutrients from the food waste can be recovered and turned into biogas and fertiliser.

InSinkErator® food waste disposers connect to standard plumbing and are designed to fit easily under all sinks and simply need an electrical connection. InSinkErator® food waste disposers are inherently safe thanks to the internal system of stainless steel grinding rings that reduce the food waste into a minute particle size. With an InSinkErator® food waste disposer, there is not a blade or knife to be found.

As the global leader and inventor of food waste disposers, InSinkErator® has a range of models to suit every household and lifestyle. Models in the Evolution range benefit from a high-torque Dura-Drive™ induction motor to tackle the most difficult-to-grind foods. There is a handy auto-reverse function, as well as overload protection, for trouble free operation and extended product life.

The affordable M Series models are smaller than the Evolution range of food waste disposers, but still possess the same functionality and versatility of the larger models. The M Series range features three food waste disposers in different sizes; Model 66 for use by large families, Model 56 for regular use or for smaller households and the smallest model in the range, Model 46, is ideal for light use.

InSinkErator® food waste disposers are available from retailers starting at around £100 for the M Series 46 model and up to around £555 for the Evolution 250 model.

The simple steps to using an InSinkErator® food waste disposer are:

  1. Turn cold water tap on
  2. Press air switch button
  3. Guide food waste into food waste disposer
  4. When finished, press the air switch button again and turn off the cold water tap
