Founded in 1970, Henri Peteri's innovative concept of a boiling water tap has grown into a kitchen essential for millions of households worldwide.
In 1992, the first Quooker ('quick cooker') was introduced, the Quooker basic. Now, the company boasts an extensive range of kitchen tap collections, finishes and accessories. Producing hundreds of thousands of taps a year, with over 3000 dealers in the UK alone, Quooker has factories across the globe in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Norway, United Kingdom, UAE, Sweden and Switzerland.
With a focus on continuous development, testing and technical innovation, Quooker continues to be market leader as the only true 100-degree boiling water tap. The Peteri brothers always sought to produce the most sustainable, energy efficient and high-quality products. Combining form and function, the same ethos remains today. Quooker taps continue to use very little electricity and give staggering energy saving results; thanks to its sophisticated state-of-the-art technology, it takes very little energy (just 10 watts) to keep the water in the tank at 110°C. Water only starts to boil when the tap is turned and the temperature of the outflowing water drops to 100°C. While the water is flowing out of the tap, fresh water immediately flows into the tank to replace the exact amount extracted ready for the next use.
Alongside hot, cold and boiling water as standard, with the addition of the Quooker CUBE, the immediacy of filtered chilled and sparkling water can be enjoyed without having to wait or waste water. CUBE filters are able to process around 6,000 litres of water before needing replacing. What's more, one canister of CO2 yields 60 litres of carbonated water which significantly reduces the need for single-use plastic bottles. Dispensing precisely the amount of sparkling water needed at any given moment, CUBE ensures more responsible consumption.
With unparalleled functionality, intuitive and seamless water mode transitions and in-built safety mechanisms which prevent turning on the boiling water by accident, Quooker delivers the tap that does it all.
